Chris Haley, LMSW
Psychotherapist
My name is Chris Haley, and my goal as a therapist is to help you achieve greater happiness and satisfaction by better understanding yourself and your relationships with others. I'm a compassionate, empathic, and nonjudgmental listener who aims to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters healing, growth, and empowerment.
Location
I'm based in Manhattan, New York City, and I would be honored to accompany you on your therapy journey. I provide therapy in person on Tuesdays near Grand Central and on Thursdays near Union Square, and I offer therapy virtually Monday-Thursday. I am licensed to see individuals residing in New York State. Let's work together to achieve your goals and create a more fulfilling life.
Who I work with
I specialize in working with men of all ages from diverse personal and professional backgrounds —including professionals, artists, entertainers, and students— struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, relationship issues, substance use, addiction, disordered eating, and sexuality. I also work with women on these and other issues, such as life transitions, career, and health challenges. I am LGBTQ affirming and particularly understand the struggles experienced by gay and bisexual men. I strive to ensure a supportive space for everyone’s therapeutic journey.
To provide the best care possible, I engage in regular supervision and continuing education to stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques.
I’m honored to be a member of the Backline referral network, an organization that connects music industry professionals with mental health and wellness resources. I am also a member of Manhattan Alternative, a national network of Kink, Poly, & LGBTQ affirming providers.
Before becoming a therapist, I held senior management roles in the not-for-profit sector.
