Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
I currently accept Cigna insurance through my affiliation with Jessica Croce & Associates Psychotherapy (JCAP).
I am otherwise an out-of-network provider. As a convenience, JCAP offers direct submission of out-of-network claims, meaning we handle the paperwork and submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf for potential reimbursement.
Reimbursement amounts depend on your individual plan’s out-of-network benefits, deductible, and co-insurance, and cannot be guaranteed. JCAP sets fees and manages all billing.
How much is your fee?
My standard fee is $175 for a 45-minute therapy session.
Do you offer a sliding fee scale?
I offer a limited number of sliding-scale slots for individuals who are unable to pay my standard fee. Availability is limited. I will discuss any special fee arrangements with you during the intake process.
What kinds of people do you work with?
I specialize in working with men—including executives, professionals, artists, and entrepreneurs—who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, substance use, eating concerns, or questions around sex or identity.
I also work with women facing similar challenges. I’m LGBTQ-affirming and particularly attuned to the experiences of gay and bisexual men. I strive to provide a confidential, respectful space to explore what matters most to you.
I’m also a member of the Backline referral network, which connects music industry professionals with mental health and wellness resources.
How long is each session?
Sessions are generally 45 minutes each. There may be circumstances where longer sessions may be especially helpful. In such cases, I will discuss this with you.
How frequently are sessions held?
Sessions are typically held weekly; however, there may be circumstances where more frequent sessions would be beneficial.
When should I see a therapist?
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek therapy to better understand themselves, improve relationships, manage stress, or navigate life transitions. If something feels off, stuck, or unsustainable in your life, therapy can be a meaningful place to explore that.
What should I talk about in therapy?
You can talk about whatever feels important to you. Some people come in with a specific concern; others start by describing how they’ve been feeling or what’s been weighing on them. I’ll often help guide the conversation. Therapy is a nonjudgmental space to speak openly and honestly, at your own pace.
What is therapy like with you?
Therapy is a collaborative process. We’ll focus on what’s bringing you in now while also paying attention to longer-standing patterns—how you handle stress, relationships, emotions, and the expectations others—or you—place on yourself. Together, we’ll work to understand how your past experiences show up in the present so you can respond differently going forward.
My approach is grounded in psychodynamic (psychoanalytic) psychotherapy, but I don’t believe in rigid methods or one-size-fits-all treatment. Depending on your needs, our work may draw from relational, somatic, mindfulness-based, and other therapeutic approaches. Some sessions may be more exploratory; others, more practical. I check in regularly to make sure therapy feels useful and that we’re moving in a direction that makes sense for you.
Therapy isn’t about quick fixes—it should feel purposeful. Over time, many men notice increased clarity, improved relationships, greater emotional range, and a stronger sense of agency in their lives.
How long will therapy take?
The length of therapy depends on what you’re looking to address and how that work develops over time. We’ll check in periodically to make sure therapy feels focused, relevant, and genuinely useful.
Where are sessions provided?
I provide therapy in person on Tuesdays near Grand Central, Thursdays near Union Square/Greenwich Village, and I offer therapy virtually on Mondays and Wednesdays. I am licensed to see individuals residing in New York State.

What is your cancellation policy?
